Look at you with your fancy slashed o! I am certainly not opposed to him (: But I don't think I would have his babies or anything.

Hahah. Quite. Last night, I was sitting on my sofa; bag of freshly delivered Indian food beside me. As I was pulling containers of potentially drippy food out, I thought, "Maybe the sofa isn't the best place for doing this". Then I looked around, declared "fuck", and sat on the floor. I suspect, that at this point, *any* table is a good choice for me (:

I think the Eames table seems pretty reasonable, given how nice it looks. Sure, I could get garbage from Ikea; but for an incremental amount $more, I could get something that's still going to look great in ten years. Back before I moved into a place, I went to Ikea, and I found it to be extremely disheartening. I found that most of the furniture was rubbish; and the furniture that wasn't rubbish was expensive enough that I would probably be better off going to a furniture store on St-Laurent instead. So I have a couple of bowls, a pillow, coat hangers and a couple of other small things from Ikea. Total lifetime Ikea expenditure: about $80. [And have couches from a store which is just down the street.]

Either way, it never hurts to go on an adventure. Mont-Royal/St-Laurent is not so much an adventure, being that's about where I work (: Man. I was getting so close to declaring "fuckit" and going on an Ikea expedition; and now I want to get something else instead.

I was not aware that there was a furniture district. Clearly I should go on an adventure this weekend to see what I can find. (In addition to not having a dining table, I don't have a desk. My computer sits on an end table, and I sit on a sofa. It's, uh, not an ideal setup; but works well enough that I've been putting off getting a desk.)
